Wet, windy and wonderful - Ullswater Way.

Ullswater Way is a 36km loop of Ullswater - widely accepted to be the most beautiful lake in England. Working with Mark Reid from Team Walking who organised the day, we supported a determined group to complete the challenge in a single day - some achievement given the cold, wet and windy conditions we found in late March!

Not to be deterred by the weather, the group met in Pooley Bridge at 8am and enjoyed a fabulous day taking in the beauty of the lake, the history, the fells and farmland, forests, archaeological sites, waterfalls, and villages. Always a highlight, Aira Force was flowing with full might following the downpour, a beautiful spectacle on the route back from Glenridding.

A great day out, ended with a pint in the bar with a roaring fire to dry out!
