Grand day out in the Yorkshire Peaks

The Yorkshire 3 peaks is a classic circuit. On this occasion we decided to tackle just two - Wernside and my favourite Ingleborough ....

Starting in Ingleton, this walk took us up past the Ingleton waterfalls and up onto Scales Moor before heading up Wernside, over to Ribblehead viaduct then up Ingleborough from Park Fell. The views from Ingleborough are fabulous, even with the low cloud we could see over to the Lake District and beyond to the Irish Sea.

Lovely meals in the Marton Arms the night before and in the Wheatsheaf Hotel at the end of the walk book-ended a great day out with excellent company!
