A big day out with the Candlelighers

Autumn has come but that didn't stop the Candlelighters charity taking on the Yorkshire three-peaks challenge!

Working with Mark Reid at Team Walking, we supported around 40 passionate and enthusiastic individuals get round this classic 38km circuit. In doing so, the group raised funds for this fantastic charity that supports families facing children's cancer in Yorkshire.

We were really fortunate to find the gap in the weather between two very blustery and wet days, and the Dales treated us to some fantastic views and good conditions.

The group was great fun... lots of friendly rivalry and banter along the way, which made the day pass quickly. Starting at Ribblehead - Whernside, Inlgebrough and Pen-y-Ghent were conquered, leaving the long final stretch back to Ribblehead in lovely evening sunshine. With the shorter days, the final walkers completed the last section in the dark with headlights on, still smiling & laughing, and rightly proud of the achievements of the day.

A superb challenge completed, for an amazing charity.
